A Word From Lloyd

Hi everyone,

Welcome to the start of a brand new year. Like you, I am full of good intentions, with a list as long as my arm of promises to keep and goals to achieve. I would like to share a new years resolution with you. I have promised myself that LPR Mortgage Services is going to provide every single client in 2007 with a "WOW" moment. That is a moment where the client sits up and says to themselves "WOW, that is seriously outstanding service!!!"

So look out for it in 2007. Sharon Osborne, Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell be afraid, be very afraid. The X factor has had its day. LPR presents... The WOW Factor.

P.R.I.D.E. - And What It Stands For

This newsletter takes its name from the central qualities that a client not only deserves from his or her mortgage advisor, but should in fact demand. They are:

  • Professionalism
  • Reputation
  • Integrity
  • Dynamic
  • Expectations

'D' is for Dynamic - The passion behind the professionalism.

One of the things that I believe sets LPR Mortgage Services apart from other brokers, is the attitude with which we enter every single mortgage appointment. An attitude of dynamic intent. An intent to make a positive difference in our clients lives. Whether it is to help save them money, or pay off a mortgage early, it is our determination to get things done that helps us stand out from the crowd. It is a dynamic approach to creating a fantastic working relationship with our clients that is at the centre of all the advice we give, as we believe in really getting to know our clients in order to find out what they want and what they need.

A dynamic long term vision of supporting our clients in the future helps us to keep in contact with our clients so that as and when we are needed, we are there ready and raring to go to work on our clients behalf.

LPR is with child

May I just say a very special thank you on behalf of my beautiful wife Karen and myself, to all those that have sent texts, emails and cards wishing us all the best with the news of our new arrival due in May this year.

Mother and bump are doing exceptionally well!!!!

Clients Comments

The people at the heart of LPR Mortgage Services are our clients, and we try our best to make their experience with us a uniquely individual one. In P.R.I.D.E we try and give you an idea of what our clients think of us.

Douglas Gilbey

Lloyd was always very patient and explanatory and alleviated any confusion or worries I had.

LPR are able to give great advice and recommendations that relate to your own circumstances and requirements. I found this much more benficial than the 'generic' advice I have received in the past from mortgage services at the bank or building society.

I would definitely use LPR again and would recommend their services to anyone.

LPR 2nd Birthday Bash

Unfortunately, due to selfishly having a baby, I am going to have to postpone the annual LPR celebrations for this year. However, it just means that next years party will have to be bigger and better than before... watch this space!!!

LPR P.R.I.D.E IN BUSINESS

I am a huge believer that the very best way of growing a business is by word of mouth. Advertising has its place, but it is the referrals and recommendations of those that trust you that can develop your reputation. Therefore I have set up a new business networking forum in Rugby for 2007.

P.R.I.D.E IN BUSINESS held its introductory lunch in December with 40 different business represented. Membership has already begun and the first session of 2007 is being held on January 9th at 12.30pm at The Arnold House in Rugby.

I would invite all those that are keen to introduce their business to others to come along and see how P.R.I.D.E IN BUSINESS can support you.

Visit the website www.prideinbusiness.co.uk for more information.

Platinum Mortgage Club

Without wishing to sound like a broken record, LPR really is all about the client. Our philosophy is and will remain that "The client is the most important person in our business, and each individual deserves a service of the highest quality". I am sure that is why so many clients seem happy to recommend others to come and talk to us. They want their friends and colleagues to share in the benefits that LPR provide. Whether that is helping people save money every month, helping them pay off their mortgage early or simply assisting them with obtaining the most suitable interest rate, it feels good to help your fellow man.

So I must say a huge thank you to one of my clients who this year has been incredibly supportive: Paul Ingham. Paul has been recommending others to me left, right and centre and I just wanted him to know how much it is appreciated.

Thank you Paul.

6 Positive Actions for the New Year

Make yourselves a promise this year to review your mortgage at regular intervals. For most of us, it is usually the single biggest financial debt we have, and yet all too often we ignore it. We get letters from the lender telling us what we should be paying every month, we moan about it for a while, but then we do nothing. So this year, make 2007 the year of positive action.

Positive Action Step One:
Dig out your mortgage offer from the filing cabinet. Dust off the cobwebs and look for the end date of your interest rate.

Positive Action Step Two:
Get your diary out, or your kitchen calendar and put a giant capital "M" for mortgage on the date that the interest rate ends. Then, go back three months and write Mortgage Review in pink and underline it three times.

Positive Action Step Three:
Whilst you're in the mood for checking up on your finances, keep the momentum going and make a list of all your credit commitments. Loans, credit cards, store cards, interest free credit etc... Write it all down making a note of how much you pay per month to each item, and what the outstanding balance is.

Positive Action Step Four:
Having picked yourself up off the floor, pour yourself a large brandy and congratulate yourself for having made this step forward in getting control of your finances.

Positive Action Step Five:
If you don't know, get an idea of how much your property is worth. These days there is a great deal of flexibility in lending terms, and the value of your house is extremely important.

You are now one step away from making a real and positive difference to your finances. Just five steps ago, you were searching amongst moth eaten files for a mortgage offer that you had forgotten about. Now you are on the brink of taking back control. Control over your monthly outgoings, control over when your mortgage will finish and by being in control you get the added bonus of just feeling good about yourself. Don’t be one of the 40% of homeowners in the UK who languish on a rate that they could so easily change.
